Crear Vale la Pena is an independent non-governmental organization based in Buenos Aires. Founded and directed by Ines Sanguinetti - sociologist and choreographer - Crear Vale La Pena works for Art & Social Transformation. In Buenos Aires, Crear has established educational and articulation community and program centers in some of the poorest neighborhoods, providing nearly 1,000 children and young adults every year with a range of some 90 different courses in various artistic disciplines. Crear is one of the protagonists of an emerging international network of similar organizations all over Latin America and in several European countries - providing systematized learning and strategic thinking to other sectors and civil society organizations. Alternativa 3 is an independent non-governmental organization in Buenos Aires. It was founded and is directed by a group of business owners who had sold their companies in order to dedicate themselves to explore and design novel forms of community building in some of the poorest neighborhoods. Alternativa 3 focuses its activities on fostering cross-sector understanding and cooperation, crystallized in community building initiatives.
